Dia dedicado à apresentação das escolas e de factos históricos de cada país. Portugal, no trabalho apresentado, focou 3 importantes factos históricos, os dois primeiros relacionados com o mar e a sua sustentabilidade: descobrimentos, terramoto de 1755 e 25 de abril de 1974. Um trabalho muito bom, completo e com muita qualidade!

The day was dedicated to the presentation of the schools and historical facts of each country.Portugal, in the work presented, focused on three important historical facts, the first two related to the sea and its sustainability: discoveries, the Earthquake of 1755 and April 25, 1974. A very good work, complete and with a lot of quality!

À tarde fomos visitar Mijas Pueblo. Mijas divide-se em três núcleos urbanos: Mijas Pueblo (na Serra de Mijas - 450m acima do mar), Las Lagunas e Mijas Cala, núcleo costeiro.

Mijas Pueblo é uma vila típica andaluza com as suas casas caiadas na encosta de uma montanha no coração da Costa del Sol. O Pueblo de Mijas tem conseguido manter o seu encanto antigo e as tradições. O centro é um labirinto de ruas estreitas ladeadas por casas andaluzas caiadas.

In the afternoon we visited Mijas Pueblo. Mijas is divided into three urban centers: Mijas Pueblo (in the Sierra de Mijas - 450m above the sea), Las Lagunas and Mijas Cala, coastal nuclei. Mijas Pueblo is a typical Andalusian village with its whitewashed houses on the side of a mountain in the heart of the Costa del Sol. The Pueblo de Mijas has managed to maintain its old charm and traditions.The center is a labyrinth of narrow streets lined with whitewashed Andalusian houses.

O que disseram os nossos alunos portugueses:

“Esta manhã começou o projeto de Erasmus na escola IES Vega de Mijas em Espanha. No início, uma aluna espanhola dançou o flamenco, uma dança tradicional da Andaluzia. Seguidamente os alunos da Letónia, da Alemanha e de Portugal apresentaram as suas escolas e respetivos países. Após isto, os alunos espanhóis preparam um jogo para nos conhecermos melhor. O jogo consistia em cada aluno retirar um nome e encontrar as respetivas fotografias atuais e em criança. No fim da atividade houve uma pausa para lanchar, onde todos se juntaram no recreio e estiveram a conviver, acabando por haver momentos de dança. Os portugueses, como é típico, dançaram o kuduro. Voltando ao auditório, os restantes países expuseram os seus trabalhos.

What our Portuguese students stated about this day:

Our Erasmus project started this morning at the IES Vega de Mijas school in Spain. All our works started with a Spanish student dancing flamenco, a traditional Andalusian dance.Then students from Latvia, Germany and Portugal presented their schools and countries. After this, the Spanish students prepared a game to get to know each other better.The game consisted of the following: each student took a name and had to find the current and childhood photographs. At the end of the activity, there was a stop for a snack, where everyone got together at the playground and socialized, ending up with moments of dancing.

The Portuguese, as is typical, danced the kuduro.Getting back to the auditorium, the other countries presented their work.

No início da tarde, antes do almoço, o grupo visitou Mijas Pueblo. Uma vila rodeada de paisagens esplêndidas e museus, onde os alunos e professores se deliciaram com as amêndoas caramelizadas. Típico do horário espanhol o grupo só almoçou no restaurante “La Alcazaba” pelas 15 horas. Por volta das 16:30 saíram do mesmo e desfrutaram de um tempo livre em Mijas. Voltaram à escola onde as famílias os esperavam. Foi um dia cansativo, mas muito agradável, não só cheio de novas amizades e conhecimentos, mas também o dia de regresso das 3 malas extraviadas em Madrid."

In the early afternoon, before lunch, the group visited Mijas Pueblo. A village surrounded by splendid landscapes and museums, where students and teachers were delighted with caramelized almonds. Typical of the Spanish, the group only had lunch at the “La Alcazaba” restaurant around 3:00 pm. At about 4:30 pm the group left and enjoyed some free time in Mijas. Later,they returned to the school where families were waiting for them.It was a tiring day, but very pleasant, not only full of new friendships and knowledge, but also the day back from the three lost bags in Madrid.

Por fim, os alunos portugueses elaboraram também um vídeo de introdução às instalações da Escola Básica e Secundária Ferreira de Castro/At last, the Portugueses students filmed a video on the facilities of the Ferreira de Castro Secondary School.
